BEERthoven: Celebrate Dia de los Muertos

Celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at this special BEERthoven event, presented by The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle. Featuring Sophia Enriquez, Trio Huatseco, and The COT's Durham Fellows String Quartet, this interactive performance will explore traditional Mexican music and examine how people celebrate the holiday across the United States. Whether you know nothing about its traditions or have celebrated Dia de los Muertos your whole life, please join us at Fullsteam Brewing on October 25 at 7:30 pm for a night of great music and beer! 100% of donations from this event benefit The COT's 2023-24 nonprofit partner, Habitat for Humanity of Durham.

This BEERthoven is dedicated to celebrating and learning about Dia los Muertos. Our string quartet, The Durham Fellows, are partnering with Sophia Enriquez, music professor at Duke. They'll play several traditional Mexican tunes associated with the holiday. Also performing is the Trio Huatseco, a traditional Mexican band.
