Unsweet
Extra Special Bitter
Malt
Extra Special Bitter (ESB) is a woefully under-appreciated beer style. Toffee-like, nutty English and Southern malts fuse with modest hops to produce a lovely, sub 6% ABV beer worth returning to time and time again. (This is Sean writing this and I'll just say: Fuller's ESB was the first beer I fell in love with. The first "wow" beer I ever had.)
We give our ESB a little Southern twist with aromatic Earl Grey tea from our friends at Charleston Tea Gardens. The tea's light tannin and Bergamot aroma pairs seamlessly with the biscuity, delicate ale. Another Fullsteam beer meant for conversation, not introspection.
Life is sweet. Unsweet is life.
