Good Food Awards
Winner (2019)
Southern Basil, our most popular warm-weather beer, is an ever-changing feast for the senses and a 2019 Good Food Award winner.
This year, we're thrilled to release the beer much earlier than usual, thanks to a partnership with vertical farming company 80 Acres Farms. We'll transition to locally farmed basil in July, per usual, once local basil is ready to harvest -- 80 Acres Farms is simply allowing us to extend the season and have a better answer to the oft-asked question, "When will Basil be ready?"
Saison yeast loves warm brewing temperatures, responding with a full-on punch of peppery, vibrant flavors. It'll be fun to compare vertically grown with locally grown basil this year, and hopefully for years to come!
