After over a decade of foraging and buying native persimmons, we're in the fortunate position of having more persimmons than we can use for First Frost. And there's only so much persimmon pudding we can bake.
But what if we took First Frost, added more malt, folded in locally owned SpiceFix cinnamon, clove, and ginger, and aged the beer for a year in stainless and brandy barrels?
Behold our mid-winter fruited strong ale, Hard Frost.
