Goldenrod
Double IPA w. Honey
Bitter
Fans of Boxy, our honeyed West Coast IPA, will like this latest entry in our rotating IPA series we loosely call "Color/Flower" - including Black Pine (black IPA) and White Lily (Hazy).
The latest, Goldenrod, is a spring-into-summer seasonal brewed with
- 120 pounds of honey from our new friends at Happy Valley Bee Farm in Bladen County,
- copious amounts of dank hops (Simcoe. Amarillo, El Dorado), and
- a blend of Epiphany Craft Malt specialty grains and domestic two-row.
Bracing and big, with a light honey finish to soften the piney, citrusy hops. Why come up with new flavor adjectives when it's....pine and citrus. It's the flavor and aroma you want in a brassy sassy West Coast style Double IPA.
Just keep in mind a pint of this beauty is 8.0% ABV. A couple of these and you'll bee repeating yourself with rhetorical questions like "ya like jazz?"
